Welcome to the CS2a/Sum09 Website

This class has no prerequisites and is open to all Brandeis students. The goal of this course is to introduce you to the fundamental concepts underlying website design and programming. There is not text. This course will rely on course notes distributed on the web.

The summer version of this class is built around a project in which you will design and build an interactive website of your own creation. The website will need to get information from the user and store it in a database. It will also get information from the database and send it back to the user. The main idea though is that is should be the first step in some grand design of your own plan. In the past students have designed websites for wedding planners, or for school-wide textbook swapping, or for match-making. You will learn what you need to know to create this site during the course and the final project will be a major component of your final grade.
