Cosi 155: Introduction to Computer GraphicsWELCOMEInstructor: Tim Hickey Text: Angel, "Interactive Computer Graphics: A Top-Down Approach Using OpenGL" This summer we will meet for five weeks (3 days a week, 2.5 hours/day). The first two weeks we will learn about the fundamental concepts of 3d Graphics while simultaeneously learning to use 3D modeling software (e.g. the opensource Blender 3D or the proprietary Cinema4D system. In past summer session of this class, students have built flight simulators, animated neighborhoods or other interesting 3D interactive programs using OpenGL. This year we will branch out and use 3D modeling tools as well. During the first week we will work through the Cinema 4D Quickstart Manual to develop a visual understanding of the fundamental Computer Graphics operations. Your homework assignments during this week will be to develop Computer Graphics scenes and animations that use the tools you have learned in class. Resources
